Droploop Online Is Now in Open Beta
We are thrilled to announce that Droploop Online is officially in open beta. After months of development, playtesting, and iteration, the game is now available for everyone to play — completely free, directly in your web browser. No downloads. No installs. No signup required for your first raid.
Droploop Online is a multiplayer 2D extraction shooter where every raid is a high-stakes run into hostile territory. You deploy with your gear, scavenge weapons and crafting materials from procedurally generated maps, fight AI enemies and other players, and race to extract before you lose everything. Make it out alive and you keep your loot. Die, and it is gone.
What Is Included in Open Beta
The open beta includes the core extraction gameplay loop that defines the genre. Here is what you can expect when you jump in:
Multiplayer raids — Drop into shared maps with other real players. Every raid is a PvPvE experience where AI enemies patrol the map and other players are competing for the same loot. You never know who is around the next corner.
Squad play — Team up with friends using the built-in party system. Coordinate over voice, share loot calls, and cover each other during extraction. Squads of up to four players can deploy together into the same raid.
Crafting and gear progression — Your hideout persists between raids. Stash your extracted loot, craft new weapons and armor from salvaged materials, and build your arsenal over time. Six armor tiers and twelve weapon variants give you meaningful choices about how to kit out for each run.
AI enemies with tactical behavior — The maps are not empty. AI combatants patrol key areas, respond to gunfire, and use squad tactics. They are a genuine threat, not just target practice, and they guard the most valuable loot spawns.
Persistent hideout — Between raids, manage your grid inventory, repair damaged equipment, and plan your next deployment. Your stash grows as you successfully extract, giving you more options for future raids.
How to Play
Getting into Droploop Online takes about ten seconds. Visit the site, click Start Playing, and the game loads directly in your browser. The entire client runs as a WebAssembly application, so there is nothing to download or install. You need a modern browser that supports WebAssembly and WebGL — Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari all work.
You do not need an account to play your first raid. Jump in as a guest, learn the mechanics, and get a feel for the extraction loop. When you are ready to save your progress, create a free account to persist your hideout stash, track your stats, and keep your gear across sessions.
Browser Requirements
Droploop Online runs on any modern desktop browser with WebAssembly support. For the best experience, we recommend Chrome or Firefox on a desktop or laptop. The game uses SharedArrayBuffer for multi-threaded performance, which requires specific browser security headers that we handle automatically. Mobile browser support is not available during the beta period.
What Is Coming Next
Open beta is just the beginning. We are actively developing new content and features based on player feedback. On the roadmap: new map types with distinct biomes and layouts, additional weapon classes, an expanded crafting tree, a quest system with NPC traders, and ranked matchmaking for competitive players. We are also exploring clan support and seasonal content.
The best way to shape the game is to play it. Every raid you run, every piece of feedback you share, and every bug you report helps us build a better extraction shooter. We are building Droploop Online in the open and we want you along for the ride.
